Film: "Education of a town: El Cabezón"

Film Screening & Conversation

This film reflects how education transforms lives-both locally and for those who migrate abroad-showing how a community prospers through knowledge.

Presenter/Filmmaker:  Mariano Tonatiuh Rodriguez

Mariano chose to film his hometown, El Cabezón, because it is a good example of many small towns in Mexico, or anywhere in the world, where people choose to support education to prosper. He created this film as a tool to foster education.

The film promotes education for all ages as a way to grow personally and as a community. It also touches on the lives and experiences of Mexican born people who migrated to the US and continued their education there to have a more prosperous life.
