An interactive class that explores the most impactful music of the past 100 years in the English-speaking world. All major genres will be included with special emphasis on many of the key artists from such genres as jazz, pop, rock & roll, rock, R&B, rap, classical, folk, and country. There will be lively discussion, and lots of music to listen to. A few of the artists whose lives and music will be explored include— Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, etc.
About the Instructor,
Steve Williams has been playing guitar and singing since the 1960s and made his living as an award-winning classroom school teacher (mostly American History) across seven different U.S. states. Music Titans, Steve's first book, has received positive notice from both readers and music industry insiders. He moved with his wife to Ajijic a year ago, though he's been coming to Mexico for nearly 50 years.
