Create Your Own Corn Husk Doll — A Mexican Tradition π²π½β¨
Corn has been at the heart of Mexican life and culture for thousands of years. It is much more than a staple food—it is deeply connected to Mexico’s history, traditions, communities, and identity.
From this humble and natural material come many expressions of Mexican creativity and folk art. Corn husks (hojas de maíz), which might otherwise be discarded, have traditionally been transformed by skilled hands into dolls, flowers, ornaments, decorations, and other beautiful handmade objects.
Join us for a special afternoon celebrating this tradition. Learn how corn husks can be shaped and transformed into a charming handmade doll while discovering more about the creativity, resourcefulness, and cultural traditions behind this beautiful craft. πΏπ¨
Whether you are familiar with Mexican traditions or discovering them for the first time, this is an opportunity to connect with Mexico through creativity—and to take home something you made with your own hands. π
