Take a break from today’s fast-paced and overwhelming world and discover the calming art of mandala creation at The Lake Chapala Society. Mandalas, traditional circular artworks, are known for promoting balance, focus, and inner peace. In a relaxed and welcoming environment, students of all ages can “zone out,” let go of stress, and immerse themselves in the joy of creativity.

About the Instructor
LAUREN FONDA With 33 years of teaching experience, primarily in Art, as well as Music and various other subject areas, Lauren also brings valuable administrative experience. She earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master’s Degree in Art Education from Boston University.
She taught for 10 years in Canada, in both Saskatchewan and British Columbia, before moving overseas to teach in Indonesia, Vietnam, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Poland, and Myanmar. Now in her fourth year of living in Ajijic and San Antonio, she continues to enjoy being part of the local community.
