Discover the joy of working with clay at Mudlarks Pottery, located in the Casita on the LCS South Campus. Join us any Monday and Friday for a welcoming, low-fire, hand-building ceramics studio where you can create everything from functional tableware to expressive sculpture. Whether you’re exploring a new hobby or deepening your artistic practice, Mudlarks offers the tools, space, and guidance you need.

Founded by Jennifer Johnson, Mudlarks began as a collaboration with LCS when Jennifer arrived at Lakeside and saw a clear need: a community studio where people could gather, learn, and create. Today, Mudlarks continues to grow as a vibrant creative hub for potters, tile-makers, and sculptors of all experience levels.

Open Studio – Important Information

Please note that Open Studio is available only after completing the Introduction to Ceramics class.
To inquire about the waiting list for the Intro Class, please contact the Ceramics Class Coordinator.

Fees

• Monthly Studio Fee: $700 MXN

• Clay: $700 MXN per bag (purchased as needed)
  Studio fee includes full use of tools, glazes, and firing. Clay is sold separately.
