About the Instructor

Alexandra S. Morales, most know me as Alexa. Originally from California, has been loving life here in the Ribera of Chapala for about five years now. Having completed a Bachelor's Degree in Biology at Universidad de Guadalajara, specializing in mycology and the cultivation of culinary species, she made it part of my life´s work to share this magical and misunderstood kingdom. An avid hiker, I have explored and foraged the different biomes of Jalisco and have participated as a mushroom guide in the renowned Feria del Hongo in Mixtlan, Jalisco.
