This course will cover the past tense. A first taste of the verbs with which you will be able to communicate what you have done. The vocabulary at this level focuses on the city, going to the bank to run errands and talking on the phone with whomever you want.

This is a 20 session class.

 The final objectives course level 2.

 

At the end of this level, the student is ready to talk about their world not only in the present, but also about actions performed and completed in the past, using the past tense.

He/she will use the direct and indirect object complement pronouns together in his/her answers.

Use the propositions “por” and “para” with the small nuances that may exist between using “por” and “para” in a sentence.

They will be able to talk about their daily routine, using reflexive pronouns with a wide vocabulary of reflexive verbs and personal hygiene. 

You will also be able to talk on the phone to make or cancel an appointment, ask for information or leave a message.

In addition, you will be able to handle yourself properly and confidently at the bank, in a hotel, on vacation and in the hospital.

 

Level 2A

 Grammatical Structures.

•  Gerund and continuous present tense.

•  Past tense of the verbs: ser, ir and dar.

•  Past tense of regular verbs.

•  Past tense of regular verbs due to spelling change.

•  Direct and indirect object complement pronouns.

 

Vocabulary

La ciudad. (The city)

Direcciones en la ciudad. (Addresses in the city).

El banco. (The bank)

Hablando por teléfono. (Speaking on the phone)

 

Dialogues.

•  ¿Qué estás haciendo? (What are you doing?)

•  Cambiando un cheque en el banco. (Cashing a check at the bank.)

•  Hablando con un ejecutivo en el banco. (Talking to an executive at the bank.)

•  Diálogos breves por teléfono. (Short dialogues on the phone)

•  Pidiendo información por teléfono. (Asking for information by phone.)

•  Hablando al Laboratorio clínico. (Speaking to the Clinical Laboratory)
