This course will explore more the past tense, adding more verbs and vocabulary so that you are able to tell us about your adventures. The trips you've taken, the places you've stayed and whether those adventures have landed you in the emergency room on more than one occasion.

This is a 20 session class

 

Spanish in Action

Course Syllabus, Level 2.

The final objectives course level 2.

At the end of this level, the student is ready to talk about their world not only in the present, but also about actions performed and completed in the past, using the past tense.

He/she will use the direct and indirect object complement pronouns together in his/her answers.

Use the propositions “por” and “para” with the small nuances that may exist between using “por” and “para” in a sentence.

They will be able to talk about their daily routine, using reflexive pronouns with a wide vocabulary of reflexive verbs and personal hygiene.

You will also be able to talk on the phone to make or cancel an appointment, ask for information or leave a message.

In addition, you will be able to handle yourself properly and confidently at the bank, in a hotel, on vacation and in the hospital.

 

Level 2B

 

Grammatical Structures.

•  Pronouns and reflexive verbs.

•  Past tense of irregular verbs by vowel change.

•  Past tense of irregular verbs due to a change in their root.

•  Prepositions "por y para".

 

Vocabulary

•  Higiene personal. (Personal hygiene.)

•  The hotel.

•  Vacations. Travel and entertainment.

•  The hospital.

 

Dialogues.

•  Registrándose en el hotel. (Checking in at the hotel.)

•  Diálogos cortos en el hotel. (Short dialogues at the hotel.)

•  Hablando de nuestras vacaciones. (Talking about our vacation.)

•  Llegando al hospital a Urgencias 1 y 2. (Arriving at the hospital in ER 1 and 2.)

•  Diálogo por teléfono: “Cambiando de doctor”. (Dialogue on the phone: "Changing doctors")

•  Pidiendo una consulta en el hospital por teléfono. (Asking for an appointment at the hospital by phone.)
