Ready for the subjunctive? This is our last level of Spanish, we have reached the part where you can talk about your wishes and desires, either for yourself or for others. You will also learn a little more about our traditions, if you don't already know them.

Course Syllabus, Level 4B

The final objectives of course level 4.

 

At the end of this level the student will use the present perfect tense of the Indicative Mood to talk about past life activities that continue in the present.

 

The student will be able to communicate actions in the future tense of the Indicative Mood.

Describe nouns with the past participle of verbs as adjectives.

Give more emphasis to facts, for example: Color television was invented in Mexico, using passive voice sentences.

Express desires, needs, or requests in the present or future tense in subordinate clauses with the present subjunctive mood.

 

In addition, they will be able to correctly handle (orally and in writing) concepts and terms related to the work environment, pet care, interpersonal relationships, geography and customs of Mexico.

 

Level 4B

 Grammatical Structures.

•   Conditional clauses Type 1. Si + present indicative + future.

•   Explanation and forms of the Subjunctive Mood.

•   Impersonal sentences with the Subjunctive Mood and its exceptions.

•   Subjunctive Mood. Noun clauses: Verbs of influence vs. verbs of information and observation.

•   Verbs of emotion and verbs of opinion with the Subjunctive Mood.
